The Homegrown Market

‘Bringing British Grown to all’

Launching in 2025 ‘Are you looking for buckets of flowers for your event?

We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of The Homegrown Market in May 2025, which will bring together an array of talented cut flower growers, enthusiastic gatherers of seeds, dedicated nurturers of cutting garden plants, and providers of eco-friendly sundries. As florists, we are becoming increasingly aware and conscious of not only where our beautiful flowers originate from but also how they are delivered and presented to our valued customers. While we have traditionally sourced our blooms from the incredible Dutch growers, we are now committed to incorporating more offerings from British growers into our selection for Seasonal and Event Flowers.

The Homegrown Market will be situated in inviting rural locations, providing a wonderful opportunity for florists, local businesses, and members of the general public to come together, meet the growers, and purchase locally grown produce and handcrafted sundries. It will serve as a vibrant space where enthusiasts gather and share their passion for flowers. We envision it as a perfect destination for brides-to-be, allowing them to visit and discover the stunning flowers that will be in season as they plan their weddings.

Part of our wedding planning process

As part of our enhanced wedding offering, we will provide clients with a unique opportunity to visit one of our lovely local farms. This special experience will help them gain a deeper understanding of the flowers they can expect to see in bloom during their wedding season. We believe this added personal touch will bring a whole new element to the wedding planning process, ultimately creating a truly unique offering for our brides and their families to cherish.

Why British Grown?

If you are looking to bring a touch of nostalgia and charm to your flowers, you simply must consider choosing British Grown varieties. From the delightful, fragrant Sweet Peas to the unusual and captivating perennials that are not readily available from Dutch suppliers, the choice is clear.

One of the most significant benefits of opting for locally sourced blooms is the dramatically reduced carbon footprint! Unlike imported flowers, which often embark on extensive journeys traveling thousands of miles by air and road, British-grown blooms have the distinct advantage of skipping the long-haul journey altogether. This means fewer emissions, a lighter environmental burden, and the added bonus of receiving fresher, more vibrant flowers. In fact, Dutch flowers can be over a week old before they even touch British soil.

By selecting homegrown flowers, you will be supporting local farmers and independent growers who pour their passion and dedication into every beautiful stem they cultivate. The UK’s flower-growing industry continues to flourish and expand, and when you choose to buy British, you’re not only helping to preserve traditional skills but also actively strengthening sustainable agriculture within your community.
