The wedding season for 2016 is getting very booked up with lots of exciting wedding in the diary for 2016. I love meeting brides for the first time and I will always start the design process with the Bridal Bouquet. I always suggest starting a 'Pinterest' Board which you can then share to get an idea of the style and colours you like. I like to get to know a bride to really work out her own indivdual style and how she wants her bouquet to look on the day. I always use seasonal flowers and where possible source local flowers 'Sussex Flower Growers' which makes the bouquet and wedding flowers special, to know your Sweet Peas were only grown down the road. I have even been known to use Sweet Peas from my garden, grown by me!
So start a mood board, even if you find a piece of fabric you like, because you like the colours! Save it and bring all your bits to the consultation. We can build the picture together and it is so much fun ...
I love Instagram and try to post as many images as possible so you can see what happens when I am not creating flowers or helping my sister Lucy, with running The Country Brocante, which keeps us very busy. If you are interested in coming along to one of the fair keep up to date on www.thecountrybrocante.co.uk
Today, Petra Petrucelli who bought one of my wreaths in December posted a beautiful image of her wreath in her stunning house
It has inspired me to create all year round wreaths and table arrangements which you can enjoy. I am going to create a herb wreath which you can hang in your kitchen or place on your kitchen table with a candle.
I will be creating an on-line shop in the next few months so will be posting all new products then..
The year started off with an exciting photoshoot for a beautiful Home and Interior Magazine which will come out next November! I know ages to wait but it will look lovely and the first time I have been featured in a magazine and it will be six pages of Wild Willow and all about me!
The shoot started at The Three Angels in Hove, a beautiful antique and lifestyle shop near the sea and next to The Ginger Fox. If you are looking for unique pieces for your home or looking for pre-loved clothes pop down and see Jade and John. My lovely friend 'Bloomers' runs the pre-loved clothes shop and always has fantastic labels including Duffy, Brora and lots of other lovely bits.
Alun Callender was the photographer on the day, he was fantastic and so inspirational, great working with like minded people. He snapped photos of me walking across muddy feeds and standing against old walls with my Christmas Wreaths. I laughed a lot and really enjoyed having my photograph taken, a first!
